Item #PA-CC3.2: A worn chain shifts poorly and wears sprockets at an accelerated rate. The CC3-2 is a "go no-go" gauge to accurately indicate when a chain reaches 1/2 of one percent or 3/4 of one percent wear, the points at which manufacturers suggest replacement. One side of the CC3.2 chain wear gauge is used to check for chain wear at the .5% (1/2 of one percent) level. The other side is used to check for chain wear at the .75 % (3/4 of one percent) level. Select the correct side and lower the chainwear gauge onto the chain. If the gauge tip fits completely into the chainlink, the chain is worn and should be replaced. If the gauge tip does not fit into the link, the chain does not yet require replacement. Made from precision laser cut steel.
